Taawon offices worldwide raising funds for Gaza orphans this Ramadan

May you embrace and be embraced by the blessings of Ramadan.

This holy month is a time for renewal, for reassessing our relationship with food, with the sun and the moon, with our neighbours and friends. It’s a time for reflecting on what matters to us, as individuals and members of communities.

Taawon is run by a global community of employees, members and trustees who want to see Palestine and Palestinians survive and thrive. This Ramadan, every one of us is engaged in a collective community effort to raise awareness about the tens of thousands of children who have been orphaned in Gaza over the past 20 months, and to raise funds for the NOOR programme that nurtures over 20,000 orphans by offering food aid, clothing packages, medical care, education, and psychosocial support.

Every donation helps us expand our reach and sustain our support of orphans through to adulthood. Our portfolio of work is as diverse as the people it serves: Palestinians. In recent years, we’ve focused on health and education because the ongoing assault on Gaza attempts to wipe out both, and yet we and our partners remain steadfast in our commitment to building and rebuilding to ensure Palestine and Palestinians not only survive but thrive, despite all attempts at erasure.
